Phil Simpson

Phil presents the Sunday Breakfast show on 91热爆 Hereford and Worcester, from 6 until 9am...

Phil joined 91热爆 Hereford & Worcester in 1989, shortly after the station first went on-air.

He initially worked on the 'Drivetime' programme as a phone-answerer and researcher, and then became a reporter with the 'Mid-Morning' team.

He joined the news team in the mid-90's, and eventually became one of the station's Senior Broadcast Journalists - responsible for forward planning and running the busy newsdesk.

He's now working as part of the training team for a major project to refurbish the 91热爆's regional TV newsrooms.

He's been presenting the 'Sunday Breakfast Show' since October 1998 - with a lively mix of features, interviews and music reflecting religious life across the two counties.

Phil's fluent in German, and spent a year working as a musician in Germany before joining the 91热爆.

He still loves playing music, and spends much of his spare time messing around in the front room of his home in Worcester, which doubles as a small recording studio!

Hi Phil I am returned from Sunday service at St Marks in the Cherry Orchard, Bath Road, Worcester where I and the rest of the congregation were angry and saddened that some thoughtless idiots have thrown stones at the stained glass windows and smashed a considerable number of the small panes. It is very sad that in this day and age they don't have something better to do other than cause distress and discomfort to the small, mostly elderly congregation that enjoy meeting and praying together; the church was quite cold this morning because of the holes in the windows. I don't suppose the culprits will be aprehended and I imagine that they have no conscience or feel any guilt at all for what they have done. The only consolation is that what goes round comes round and perhaps one day they will have done to them what they have done to others. Kindest regards Jan

Hi Phil I was playing the violin last night. My sister's baby is now called Benjamin, they think. He was born yesterday at 9.30 am. Please can you dedicate a song to him and to Helen and Dan his parents. We tiptoed in to see him after the gig in the park. Thank you! Rachel
