Fragrant flowers are always a joy in the garden and the scent of lily of the valley is especially strong. From late spring, bell-shaped, white flowers hang in arching racemes above dark green leaves. It spreads quickly in shady positions, making it an excellent plant for a woodland garden or as ground cover in shady borders.
