'Lady Di' produces superb, long, slim, fleshy runner beans that are completely stringless. The pods are 30cm (12in) long. This is a heavy cropping variety and the beans are dark green, tender and very tasty. Sow runner beans indoors in colder areas to transplant after the last spring frost. Or you can sow the seed directly outside in late May and June. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
