French dressing
A classic vinaigrette dressing isn't hard to make - just put everything in a jam jar and shake. But getting the balance right is everything.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp wine vinegar
- 1 tsp French mustard
- pinch of caster sugar
- salt and pepper
Method
Put all the ingredients into a clean jar with a secure lid. Shake well to emulsify the dressing and serve. If the dressing separates, just give it another shake.
Add a crushed clove of garlic or 1 tbsp fresh herbs for variety.
