IN A NUTSHELL...
The Story: Saul Metzstein attracted critical raves for his debut movie Late Night Shopping in 2001. His follow-up is an ambitious black comedy about a US soldier (Jason Biggs) accidentally jettisoned from a plane over Greenland at the tail-end of the 70s. The only thing warming up the Arctic chill is a comely sergeant (Natascha McElhone) who also happens to be the girlfriend of the base's boss (Jeremy Northam). The icy wastelands of Greenland were duplicated on an Icelandic glacier during a brief 31-day shoot.
Useless Fact: John Griesemer's source novel, No One Thinks Of Greenland, was set in the 50s following the Korean War.
