They should perhaps add farcical to the title, as Fool N Final descends into a big joke. It's a mishmash of a story comprising one cheap gag after another. Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia bring energy to an overused scenario of small-time crooks on a quest to bag a diamond. With every B-list actor coming out of the woodwork for this one, you'd be hard pressed to follow the plot, but it might yet raise a chuckle.
Rocky (Chunkey Pandey) smuggles a diamond into Dubai, but fellow don Moscow Chikna (Arbaaz Khan) wants to get his mitts on it and commissions Choubey (Paresh Rawal), Raja (Kapoor) and Tina (Takia) to seize the gem. With a pack of dons breathing down their necks demanding the diamond, this set-up quickly descends into mayhem, as the trio find themselves embroiled in kidnapping and murder.
"ULTIMATELY SPIRALS INTO CHAOS"
Fool N Final is intended as an all-out entertainer, and with a cast of thousands, it attempts to provide something for everyone. Lending youth appeal to the proceedings, street-talking Shahid and Ayesha Takia have all the moves but little substance. Meanwhile, the wisecracking humour of Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever will draw a more mature audience. Everyone else is either annoyingly over the top or redundant and the film ultimately spirals into chaos. Its comic strip graphics are a nice touch, but lend nothing to this convoluted tale. All gloss, no story, but perhaps good for a belly laugh if cheap wisecracks are your bag.
