Men dress as women in all sorts of ways, and for all sorts of reasons

Melbourne-born Joel Edgerton is the latest actor to go walkabout from his native land in search of stardom. Although he's appeared in several high profile movies - most notably King Arthur and Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3 as Owen Lars - Edgerton gets his biggest role in Kinky Boots. He plays Charlie, a Northampton lad who finds himself forced to take extreme measures to secure the future of the family shoemaking business.

Kinky Boots is released in UK cinemas on Friday 7th October 2005.
