We loved the Coen Brothers' latest film and declared that "Intolerable Cruelty is one of the most inspired, scathing, and downright side-splitting comedies to come out of Hollywood this year." So there. Can we be quite so gushing about the DVD? Ehm, no.
Intolerably Little
There aren't many features-packed Coen Brothers DVDs out there and it's not about to change with this disc, which comes with two featurettes and some outtakes.
Mainstream Movie - Mainstream DVD
There's a 'making of' featurette where George and Catherine talk about how they wanted to work with one another and other such non-revelatory comments. The wardrobe featurette is a touch more interesting (if you wanted know that Clooney's suit matches the style of one Cary Grant once wore) but let's not get too excited here. The best the disc has to offer are the outtakes, where Clooney goes into maximum screwball mode the minute anything goes wrong on a take.
