Baise-Moi DVD (2002)

Unlike the happy, promotional goo you find on many other DVD releases, the interviews for the arresting "Baise-Moi" disc contain nothing but forthright views.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Picture Gritty and raw, the picture transfer is right for the film.

Sound The stereo sound mix packs a punch, especially in delivering the punkish music score.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Making Of This 40-minute documentary opens with footage of a French demonstration about the film. Not, as you might expect because people are indignant at its content, but because of it being banned.

Controversial in nature and presentation, there's no skirting around the traumatic sexual scenes in the film, and all involved give their frank interpretation on how the audience should react.

Q&A Session Eight minutes of footage from a Q&A session at a screening of the film reveal a little more about audience reaction to the feature, with direct answers from the filmmakers to their questions. You'll also find out which countries the film didn't go down well in, including Switzerland and Italy.

Additional Extra Features Also on the DVD is a trailer for the film and a trailer gallery for other Universal titles.
