The flawed but likable chase movie "Taxi" touts for business on a DVD that could be a little more exciting than it is.
Picture quality is fine, especially considering that the image is not anamorphic (a process which carries extra coding to create a more detailed picture on a widescreen TV). It's a bright and clear effort that also boasts nice large subtitles.
The slightly boring department is the sound. The 2.0 surround mix is pretty good, with the car engines and music nice and deep, but it only makes you imagine what a 5.1 sub woofer underpinned effort might have played like.
Extra features are limited to a trailer and detailed cast and crew filmographies. This is by no means a bad disc - the quality is good - but a few more thrills in the sound department wouldn't have hurt.
