听 Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn reunite to weave a rather lukewarm blend of comedy magic that inspires little more than the odd smile. Still, there's little faulting the luxurious production values that polish up reasonably well on DVD.
That's only after you've got past the opening first five minutes or so. For such a new film, the picture suffers from minor print damage that's a little sloppy and a transfer that's often a little soft. It's not really enough to justify the previous two sentences, but this is a film where the mind does begin to wander onto such matters as, 'Ooo! A little fleck of grain there' and 'what's for dinner?'.
The 5.1 soundtrack does little to jolt your average B-rate reviewer out of his seat. Music plays, people talk - all this happens out of the correct speakers, hey, it works.
As for special features, a trailer is yours to view with relish. Obviously no one associated with the film could think of anything to say about it either.
