"Shaft in Africa" completes the trilogy, and as with the previous two movies is best on DVD rather than VHS.
The slick production values of "Shaft's Big Score" continue into this sequel, and the resulting picture transfer is clear and bright. The African locations look particularly good and the colour balance is fine.
The mono sound is free of distortion but unexciting, and doesn't capture the hipness of John Shaft.
A featurette or promotional film like the one on the "Shaft" DVD would have livened up this adequate disc, but all you get is the trailer.
