This uneven but fun comedy works largely because of the engaging performances of a talented cast. And fans will be delighted to know that the DVD puts in a star performance too.
Hawn, Midler, and Keaton play three wealthy women who decide to form an elite club to wrestle financial control from their former husbands, who have eloped with younger women.
The film opens with a comic-art-inspired credit sequence that revels in the use of garish tones. It's a good test for the DVD, which handles them all well with no colour bleed. Otherwise the image is glowing and clear throughout.
The sound is equally warm with a rich 5.1 mix making the most of the orchestral score.
The only extra on the disc is the trailer but if you enjoyed the film you'll likely want to re-live it on this quality disc.
