Q: Who's in The Bus Hookers?
A: Sarah Joyce, 34, vocals; Lee Coatham, 32, guitar and lyricist; Jay Robertson, 32, drums; Steve Attfield, 39, bass.
Q: What's the story of the band?
A: The current line-up has been together since 2006. Jay and Sarah are original members in the band. After seeing an advert in a local music shop in Okehampton, Lee was recruited. Steve joined after the band played at a gig in a pub in Bratton Clovelly. We are based in West Devon - Okehampton, Lapford and Broadwoodkelly.

A: Original, acoustic, rock.

Q Where on earth did you get that name from?
A: The name The Bus Hookers has been around for the last 10 years in the minds of Sarah and Jay. It's inspired by the bizarre behaviour of two young women at a bus stop in Southampton.
Q: What do you think of the current music scene?
A: There are some great musicians around, and acoustic based music has been making a steady comeback for a number of years - the likes of Seth Lakeman, James Morrison, Joshua James, David Gray and Ray Lamontagne.
Q: Whose records do you have in your collection?
A: Each band member has their own influences. They range from Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Roy and Nick Harper, Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, Joshua James, Tool, The Block Heads, Sound Garden, Ray Lamontagne.
Q: Tell us about the song you are auditioning here.
A: It's called Expecting Rain and it's written by Lee Coatham. It's about walking on Dartmoor and suddenly being taken by surprise by a thunder storm. The song starts with the storm waiting, creeping up on the unsuspecting traveller and exploding into a violent storm.

A: We would never forget where we came from, nor would we forget our closest loved ones.
