Triplet
girls studying at a Cornish college are heading for Cambridge University.
Truro
College announced on Thursday morning that the 18-year-old sisters
have received the A level results required for entry to three separate
Cambridge colleges.
Students
Lil, Helen and Kate Armstrong all applied to several universities
looking for their course choices, it was a coincidence that they
had all applied to Cambridge.
Lil
will be studying medicine at Selwyn College. She said:
"I
am extremely excited about going to Cambridge and also a little
nervous, but at least my sisters will be there for support"
Helen
will be studying Law at Corpus Christie College. She said:
"I'm
speechless - it's just a great relief to finally know we're all
going."

Kate
will be studying Natural Sciences at Trinity College. She said:
"I'm
amazed and delighted that we have all achieved these grades which
would not have been possible without the excellent staff at Richard
Lander School and Truro College."
They
admit they enjoy each others company much more now. It was 'tedious'
at secondary school because they were always in the same class but
at College they have enjoyed the individuality of being in separate
lectures. They have enjoyed meeting for lunch at College.
"We
have got closer the more time we spent apart" Helen Armstrong.
Helen
and Kate found their first interviews for university "horrible"
and thought they weren't going to be successful. The second interview
gave them a little more hope. Lil thought her interviews were great!
The
girls went to Richard Lander school where they all achieved A grades
in their GCSE's.
