Childhood memories of Cornish blue surround Vivien's fascination with indigo and her work in Shiborhi, a Japanese form of tie and dye. She sometimes finds it difficult to concentrate living in a quaint old Cornish town.

The Shibori blue of a Cornish sky, trips to the Scillies flying over the Cornish blue sea and emerald landscape has influenced her work throughout her life.

Vivien describes her thought processes and the creation of her pieces from initial sketches through to her finished works of art.
