Find out how we've reached this fantastic amount by listening to some of the stories below... 91热爆 Radio Cornwall's support of the Precious Lives Appeal was launched back in January 2008, to mark the silver anniversary of the radio station. Since then 91热爆 Radio Cornwall listeners have been busy raising thousands of pounds for the charity, which is building a children's hospice in Porthpean, near St Austell. For one man in Bodmin the Precious Lives Appeal - as well as being a worthy charitable cause - has been a great opportunity to quit smoking. Reg Harris tells his story to Matt Small:

Help playing audio/video It is hoped the eight-bed hospice, which will be called 'Little Harbour' will open its doors in autumn 2011. Precious Lives founder Eddie Farwell said: "The location for the new hospice has given us our inspiration and we have taken the name from one of the translations of Porthpean. "We have chosen to call our special third hospice Little Harbour, which is wonderfully apt for such a homely and caring place." Eddie Farwell, the founder of Childrens Hospice South West, gave his reaction to our presenter Duncan Warren:
