Gig RowingYou are in: Cornwall > Gig Rowing > County Championships  County ChampionshipsIt was a successful day's racing for the gigrowers who were out in force over the weekend for the County Championships and the beautifully calm, sunny weather certainly made a difference. Find out the results from the weekend and see pictures. It was a bright and sunny weekend for the male gig rowers who took part in the County Championships at the weekend. Mounts Bay followed on from the World Championships in May by taking the title. Falmouth A took second place, followed by Caradon A, Caradon B, Fowey A and Cattewater A. See photos from the September 2008 eventMounts Bay were surprise winners at the World Championships in May taking the title from Caradon who had won several years in a row. The Junior Championships were also held yesterday after being postponed previously due to bad weather. Helford were the overall winners followed by Mounts Bay, Penryn, Cadgwith, Fowey and Padstow.
