The weather wasn't kind on the Saturday 6 September, however it picked up nicely on the Sunday, although the waves tested the abilities of even the most experienced gig rowers. In the Ladies County Gig Rowing Championships Falmouth's Ladies A took first place. There was just one round of rowing on Saturday as bad weather reports forced organisers to postpone racing until Sunday morning. Four races later and Falmouth A took the trophy, followed closely by Caradon, Charlestown, Newquay and Mounts bay.
