Get ready to rock when the Pigeon Detectives take to the Unleashed stage in Newquay on Saturday 9 August 2008. The Pigeon Detectives are headlining the Saturday night line up at this year's Unleashed festival. The group formed in Leeds in 2002 and soon became indie darlings, thanks to thumbs up comments from the likes of NME. The band's influences often come through in their music. The Pigeon Detectives heroes include The Beatles, The Kinks, The Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix, and Oasis. The band are playing Newquay this summer They have been championed by such well known 91热爆 DJs as Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley, and performed at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. They supported Dirty Pretty Things whilst they toured in spring 2006. They also supported the Kaiser Chiefs, who are known to be fans of the band, on a number of occasions around Europe. Last summer they played on the 91热爆 Radio 1 NME stage in front of thousands at 'T in the Park'. The performance was televised and shown later that day on 91热爆3.
