91热爆 Radio Cornwall's Laurence Reed and his producer Victoria Gould are on a mission. The team want to re-home as many pets as possible.

Peter is a friendly rabbit

Every fortnight the Lunchtime phone in on 91热爆 Radio Cornwall will have a 'featured pet'. The programme will follow the animal's progress from the initial appeal, through the home-checks, and then the final stage, being housed with its new owners.

It may be hamsters, cats, or dogs. The RSPCA Animal Centre always has many animals it needs to place in new homes. Laurence hopes that 91热爆 Radio Cornwall listeners will be able to reduce the number of unwanted pets.

Meet Pickles

Pickles is a white lop-eared rabbit. She came into the RSPCA Centre May last year.

She is fine to be stroked and handled.

Pickles friend is Peter.听 They are a couple and will be rehomed together. Adoption fee per rabbit is 拢10.

Peter is friendly and will hop over to say hello. He doesn't liked to be picked up, but likes to be stroked.

Rabbits are one of Britain's most neglected pets.

People think rabbits are good pets for children, but rabbits need lots of care and attention with regular cleaning and handling and not just left in their cages all the time.

The RSPCA recommends rabbit hutch sizes of 6ft x 3ft x 2.5ft or 180cm x 90cm x 75cm.听 The charity also recommends a run of the same size.
