But recently 91热爆 Cornwall was given the chance to take to the skies in a Cessna F172 over west Penwith to experience the magic of the county. It's amazing what a new perspective can give you. As I sit at Land's End Airport waiting to board what looked like the world's smallest aircraft, little did I know just how much I was going to be affected by a 20 minute flight over west Penwith. Newlyn harbour After the initial safety checks, we trundled across the field to prepare for take off. At this point it just feels like I am sat in the back seat of an old car going down a rather pot-holey track, until we take off of course. The take-off is remarkably quick and after a little bit of light turbulence we are up in the air.
And that's when it hit me. The beauty of Cornwall, that is. Pretty little green fields roll deliciously close to the shoreline of the deep and ever expansive rich blue sea. Cottages teeter on the edge of cliffs with their manicured gardens living harmoniously next to the wild and raw-looking moorland. Coves and caves duck and dive along the coast where the edge of the land crumbles like a biscuit into the water. Roads become etched pencil marks in the landscape, winding their way through towns and villages and when I make out the people standing on beaches, they look like dots drawn with a black felt pen. Taking to the sky in a Cessna is an exhilarating experience. The combination of engine fuel and fresh clean sea breeze billows in through the window whilst the pilots voice can be heard through my headphones pointing out the landmarks during the flight. Now it might not be for the faint hearted, but for me, flying over a place as beautiful as Cornwall is a magical experience. It's certainly the closest you'll get to heaven.听 A choice of 3 routes from Land's End Lands End Airport offer 3 different scenic routes and also the opportunity to take flying lessons.
