Specialising in scarey stories, the appropriately named 'House of Fear Studio' is producing 'The Raven Trilogy'. 91热爆 Cornwall bravely visit the set to hear about the first film 'Evil Calls'. On the outskirts of Redruth, down a few country lanes, is the last place you'd expect to find a film studio. But this is the home of 'House of Fear' a film company with an eye on the past. Not only does it tip its cap to the Hammer Horror movies of yesteryear, the Cornish studio also distributes its own films, just like the famous Hollywood companies of the past. Richard Driscoll and Rik Mayall House of Fear may sound like a nightmare by name, but it's a dream come true for Richard Driscoll AKA actor Steven Craine, a man who is passionate about horror movies. He has built the studio up from scratch. Now in 2008 he is directing, and starring in, a trilogy of horror films. The first one, 'Evil Calls', receives its world premiere in London on Tuesday 12 February, and a charity screening in aid of Kidz R Us, in St Ives on Wednesday 13 February 2008. Help playing audio/video 'Evil Calls' has gathered together an impressive cast of stars, including Norman Wisdom, Rik Mayall, and Jason Donovan. Click on the link below to see our photo gallery: 'Evil Calls' is the first part of a horror series entitled 'The Raven Trilogy'. The first film is about a group of students who go to a haunted forest called Harrow Woods in New England for a weekend vacation to investigate the disappearance of horror novelist George Carney and his family. They went missing presumed dead two years before. Jason Donovan plays Gary in the film Led by lecturer Karl Mathers (played by Richard Waters), the group embark on their investigation to learn that the forest has more horrors to offer than first realised. They discover that in the 17th century the infamous witch Lenore Selwyn was burnt at the stake within Harrow Woods. As she struggled against the flames she cursed the very land that her ashes fell upon. With the knowledge of this information the scene is set for a spooky series of events... Not only will Richard and his dedicated team of horror fans be producing the next two parts of 'The Raven Trilogy' this year, there will be a second installment of the 'Kannibal series and 'Rylett', a film about a secret agent fighting against evil. The team will also be behind an eight part documentary series on Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Alfred Hitchcock, Sherlock Holmes and Hammer Films, entitled Horror Legends. Richard Driscoll, actor and director Speaking of Christopher Lee, the horror star has been lined up to appear in part two of the trilogy with the spooky title of 'The Devil's Disciple'.
