The former Junior World Champion is coming to the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth at the end of January 2008 to talk about some of his career highlights. Plymouth's Conrad Humphreys has carved out an amazing career, and yet he's only 34-years-old. The former Junior World Champion made his debut 10 years ago in the Whitbread Round The World race. He went on to win the BT Global Challenge in the year 2000 as skipper of LG Flatron. Against The Odds - Conrad's DVD So far Conrad has sailed around the world three times, in three different races. Most recently, he was the solo skipper in the non-stop singlehanded round the world Vend茅e Globe yacht race in 2004-05, in which he became only the fifth British sailor to ever complete the race. His many stories will be told at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth when he visits on 30 January 2008. Conrad鈥檚 thought-provoking and inspirational messages will be brought to life with slides and incredible footage captured during his voyages. To find out more about his life-changing trips, you can see Conrad, on dry land, at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The talk, with slides will be given on Wedneday 30 January 2008.
