Sarah Lay grew up in Lamorna and started her business, Pentyr four years ago.

One of her first ventures was producing Cornish Christmas cards. These unique cards, now in their 6th year are adorned with evocative images of Cornwall produced using artwork and images by local photographers and artists.

Each card comes as a pack of five of one design either blank or with the Cornish Christmas greeting Nadelek Lowen which means 'Happy Christmas'.

Keen to 'do her bit' for charity, Sarah also gives a proportion of the sales to charity and last year alone, two thirds of the profits of the cards were donated to St Julia's Hospice in Hayle and St Petroc's Society for Single 91热爆less People in Truro which totalled 拢2,500 giving valuable support to these two local charities.

Since starting off her Cornish Christmas card business Sarah has branched out into calendars which contain all the Cornish events and diaries amongst other things, allowing her to fulfil her desire to share images with others of her love of Cornwall.

Sarah tells us a little bit about the images in the calendars, "Well the idea was to get away from the more usual touristy calendars and as the name suggests, 'Evocative', hopefully they evoke that sense of Cornwall, which as we all know is am absolutely beautiful, magical place that you simply can't forget."
