Most of the year Tywanhayle Farm looks like your normal farm on the outskirts of St Agnes. But from Friday 17 until Sunday 19 August the fields become home to hundreds of vintage cars, bikes and steam engines.

There will be plenty of steam engines

The event also houses the miniature steam engines. Until 1995 WESES used to accommodate only six miniature steam engines each year, since then there has been a steady increase in exhibitors. This hobby is proving to be just as popular, but a lot cheaper than running the full size engines.

The Vintage Car Section is always a popular part of the show with up to 200 cars on display. Expect to see all makes and models up to the year 1972. There's also a special section for the 'Cornwall Austin 7 Owners' who have their own unique display. You may even see a few vintage caravans as well.

If you like your bikes then the WESES event is home to many vintage bikes from years gone by. Look out for all these cars and bikes on the Cornish roads in the lead up to the massive weekend in St Agnes.

But it's not just about vehicles. From its introduction in 2004, the Heavy Horse Section has grown annually, and now attracts a great number of spectators to its spectacular and varied displays of horses working with age-old implements. The event aims to show the heavy horse breeds working as they did in days gone by, long before the engines took over the work.
