From Saturday 14 July the streets of St Just will be full of fun, music and colour.

The annual Lafrowda Festival brings together the best performers and local artists.

The week long festival kicks off with a Cornish take on the popular TV show 'Stars In Their Eyes'. 'Tears In Their Eyes' invites the locals to take to the stage and be their favourite star. There should be plenty of laughs at that event.

If singing is not your thing then maybe 'Laff Lafrowda' is more up your street. The amateur comedians evening takes place in St Just on Tuesday 17 July. Call 01736 787163 to book your place in the limelight.

The main event of the week is Lafrowda Day on Saturday 21 July.

Performers are travelling from all over the world to take part in the festival.

The Cape Singers are back again. The popular singers have been a regular attraction at Lafrowda Day since it started 11 years ago.

Plen-An-Gwarry offers DJ's and live bands from lunchtime until late. Highlights include The Mosquitoes and their 'Alternative Anglo Spanish Footy Punk', and Lafrowda faves Pondlife with their Ska tunes.

Throughout the day there will be plenty of colour provided by talented street acts. Poppy Clemence Acrobats, Cirque du Ciel and The Fire Breather are licensed to thrill the crowds as part of Lafrowda Day.

Essential Information

Tears In Their Eyes is held at Cape Cornwall Secondary School on Saturday 14 July.

Laff Lafrowda takes place in St Just on Tuesday 17 July.

Lafrowda Day itself occurs on Saturday 21 July.
