Air Day at Culdrose

Take To The Sky

The Cornish sky will come alive in August for the annual Air Day. The massive event at RNAS Culdrose is a must for anyone interested in aviation. Find out more about this year's line up.

Air Day at Culdrose always attracts thousands of visitors keen to see the aircraft and find out more about the work the Royal Navy carries out in Cornwall.

Display

Dare devil displays at Air Day

Famed for heroic rescues from the Boscastle floods and the ill-fated MSC Napoli, the Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, is home to 12 squadrons with almost 100 aircraft including the new Merlin helicopters, Sea Kings, Hawk jets and state-of-the-art technology.听

These planes and helicopters will be on display at the annual Air Day which is being held on Wednesday 1 August 2007.

Air Day is not just about aircraft. The whole day is packed with plenty for everyone to see and do on the ground.

The hangars will be full of naval exhibitions and displays where visitors can meet the aircrew that fly and maintain the aircraft.

Air bourne displays

There's plenty of action in the sky

There are trade stands, simulators, helicopter rides and much, much more.

The Red Barrows Display Team will be at Air Day along with The Royal Marines Band.

There will be a range of on the ground displays including MOD Police Dogs and Cornish Wrestling.听
