Cancer Research UK's Race for Life began in 1994, with one race in Battersea Park.

Thirteen years on, Race for Life has grown to become the UK's biggest women only fundraising event with your help.

On Sunday 17 June hundreds took part in the Race For Life around the Eden Project in St Austell. Click on the link below to see the photos:听听

Women of all ages and all levels of fitness take part in the sporting fundraiser.

Since Race for Life began, women across the country have raised over 拢140 million.

The charity is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research, with a team of over 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

This year's Race For Life has been taking place all over Cornwall. The final event will be:

15 July - Truro

The event starts at 11am at Richard Lander School, make sure you arrive an hour before so that you can take part in the warm-up. This 5km course will take you round Richard Lander School and the surrounding areas. Around 2,500 women are expected to take part.
