One of Cornwall's best new bands, The Mosquitoes are playing live in a pub near you soon. Described as 'Anglo-Spanish-footie-punk'. About as unique as it gets.

The Mosquitoes came together in 2004. Already pulling large crowds with their unique â€œAnglo-Spanish-footy-punkâ€ and hyper-charged live act, they have supported Stereo MCs and The Audio Bullys at Surfstock, and played the Royal College of Art, London.

Band members: ¸é²¹Ãº±ô( vocals), JosÃ© (bass), Chico (guitar), Pedro (lead guitar) and Torremolinos (drums), stem from 'Stagnant ponds' around Penwith.

They formed The Mosquitoes shortly 'after hatching' two years ago.ÌýThe band members have a long history of playing in local bands. Previously in 'Bates Motel', 'Saddam and the Pants' and other lesser known outfits.

The band are currently working on their album called ' A Dog Called Paco' which is likely to be available from a suitcase at the side of the stage from their up-coming gigs.

Saw them down at St Ives... they were brilliant.. absolutely hilarious and very entertaining music.. didnt think much of the guy that joined them on stage to grind metal all over thm though... Loved a dog called Paco...

Absolutely great, one of the best gigs I ever saw. So funny, a great act. I saw them at surfstock and there were only about 20 other people watching. They were the best band there. I couldnt get a hold of their album, do they have one?

i saw this band for the first time at Bunters Truro on John peel day. amazing! fantastic! funny! and most of all i cant wait to see them again.
