The Easigrass Garden (The Urban Plantaholics Kitchen Garden)
Designed by Tony Smith
This is the city garden of a bachelor who has a high profile, stressful job but seeks refuge by collecting plants. It acts as his own private escape where he can enjoy his plant collection. He does not cook at home and instead uses the kitchen for his latest collection of orchids.
The garden owner is not keen on the sun and has replaced the conservatory with a grotto, the walls and ceiling of which is finished in a high quality artificial grass. There is also a seat sculpted into the back where he can admire his prized collection of ferns.
This garden has been awarded a Silver-Gilt Flora medal by the RHS.
