Christian Before Dior
Designed by Patricia Thirion and Janet Honour
"The garden reflects Dior's love of flowers and design and the influence these were to have on his couture collections and perfumes," explains Patricia and Janet.
"The garden returns us to the flowers and perfumes that were to become a life-long passion for the 15 year old Christian Dior. His pergola, bench and rectangular pool are reinterpreted here as a homage to the great fashion icon. A Dior jacket is draped across the bench; his favourite flower, lily of the valley, as ever in the buttonhole. The two vases on either side of the garden are designed by A Touch of France celebrating Dior鈥檚 鈥楴ew look鈥 and the beginning of a whole new fashion genre.鈥
This garden has been awarded a Bronze medal by the RHS.
