Featured in this gallery will be the best of these films, all for your viewing pleasure. Blast off at the Balloon FiestaFriday, 10 August was a spectacular day at the Fiesta. During the mass ascent I took the opportunity to do some filming, and the video below is a compilation of the highlights of the launch. More than 100 balloons lifted off into the skies above Bristol, including such favourites as the Ikea 'heart' and the Chubb fire extinguisher. Joined by many privately owned balloons, the launch was one of the most successful in recent years, making best use of the extremely favourable conditions.
