The licence has been granted and it's all systems go for St Pauls Carnival.

With his wealth of experience from carnivals around the world and the UK, Pax Nindi talks about getting more adults involved in costume-making and why carnival is in his blood.

More than 1,000 people are involved on the day from local school children to performance artists and community groups.

Carnival belongs to the city's African Caribbean community but everyone is welcome to join the party.
