Chris Aplin, 21, has a passion for gardening and loves working for the Brandon Trust at The Elm Nursery at Frenchay near Bristol. For the past year he has been a Care Ambassador there teaching adults with learning difficulties about horticulture.
When he left school at 16 without anything much in the way of qualifications Chris had no idea what he was going to do for a career.
He admits he was not the most attentive student and cannot quite believe how much he loves being a teacher.
After learning about horticulture from his Dad, he joined the nursery and was invited to become a Care Ambassador - a young person who works as a carer and acts as a role model to inspire and encourage other young people to consider careers in social care.
Now he goes back to school regularly to talk to teenagers about his work and why he loves it.
