The challenge is to ensure that passports are stamped by each character and clues hidden along the trail correctly answered to win a prize at the end! Avon Gorge is home to many rare plants and animals, including the lollipop-shaped wildflower the Bristol onion and the Bristol whitebeam tree, both of which are found nowhere else in the UK.Ìý Families can start their chosen trail anytime between 11am and 3pm. The trails follow circular routes and take up to 1½ hours to complete. The event is free but donations are welcome on the day. People wanting to come along must book in advance by calling 01594 833057, as places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
