Be a springwatcher!

The 91热爆 and the Woodland Trust are carrying out the biggest ever survey into the arrival of spring - and we need your help!

You can take part by logging the dates you first see six key events of spring.

The six springwatch events to log in 2006

They are: spotting frogspawn, the seven-spotted ladybird, the red-tailed bumblebee, the peacock butterfly, flowering hawthorn and swifts.

You can record your sighting via the web, by text message or by post using one of the 91热爆's Springwatch postcards.

To text, store 63399 in your mobile - add the number to your address book and memorise these six keywords:

  • spring frogspawn
  • spring butterfly
  • spring ladybird
  • spring hawthorn
  • spring bee
  • spring swift

If you make a sighting when you're out and about just send a text.

Your mobile will tell the Springwatch survey the location and date so be sure to text from the exact spot you saw your spring event.

To record a sighting via the web, go to the Springwatch website.
