This is who Sarah Palin is

You read it here first (an hour ahead of the 91Èȱ¬ news website!). Sarah Palin is John McCain's choice as candidate for Vice-President. She's 44, the first female governor of Alaska, who in 2006 took on the state's Republican establishment on a clean-government platform and won.

She's described as a "conservative reformer"; "pro-life" (ie anti-abortion), and has five children, including one with Downs syndrome and one in the army. She's a former sports reporter, beauty queen, and high school athlete who enjoys hunting and eating moose-burgers. She's also the only non-Senator in the contest.
