Obama-Clinton? Or Clinton-Obama?

Here麓s a thought for you (turn away now if you can麓t bear another word about these two). But if you麓ve been wondering how they could ever decide who should head a joint ticket, if that麓s what it eventually comes to, maybe they should try a job-swap.

When I was a Middle East correspondent in the mid-1980s, rival Israeli politicians Shimon Peres (who麓s now Israel麓s president) and Likud leader Yitzhak Shamir agreed to form a coalition administration on the basis that half way through its term, they麓d swap jobs: the one who was Prime Minister would become Foreign Minister, and vice versa. No one thought for a moment that they麓d go through with it, but they did.

So how about it? Hillary and Barack toss a coin, and the one who wins gets first try for the White House. If they win, he/she does two years as POTUS (president of the United States), and then hands over.

A White House job share. How麓s that for "change"?

UPDATE: You thought I was joking? It's not a joke at all, according to this piece on

Hmm.. The trouble is, half way through, they would look at the Tony Blair Playbook and say in a Press Conference 'You don't do deals over a job like this..' and the agreement would fall apart..

What is a more interesting idea is that they do it as one of those 'job-share' arrangements, where Barack Obama runs the show on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Hillary Clinton is in charge on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Which just leaves the question - If a major foreign incident starts at 3am on a Sunday morning, which of them is going to answer that phone ? !

There is always 'Rock-Paper-Scissors' to decide..

You are so correct. I had wondered myself why they did not join forces together? United we stand and divided we fall............ I love how you write.

Regardless of of whether Clinton or Obama win the Democrate nomination, America is too conservative for either a white woman or a black man as president. The next president (unfortunately) will be John McCain.

If Obama was white he would not have been still running after all of that scandal with his 鈥渦ncle鈥 pastor. We, the 鈥渨hite people鈥, cannot use the word 鈥渂lack鈥 in public, only African-American; while on the other side, a person that attends an African-American racist church every Sunday and listens to the bias of anti-white preaching, can still be running for president!!! Do you really think Wright has preached that kind of preaching just that one time? Also do not forget! Obama has been listening to Wright鈥檚 preaching for almost 20 years!!!
Obama said "the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning鈥. I don鈥檛 think so! I never ever heard of any white priest preaching from the altar such racist ideas against blacks, or any other segments of the American population. Probably that is happening in Obama鈥檚 neck of the wood鈥 If he genuinely believed in solving the race issue, he should have done that 鈥渙utstanding speech鈥 long before his ass was in hot H2O because of his close connections with Wright
Well, if lefties (Kerry & Co.) succeed in hijacking the Democratic Party leadership, I can see that a lot of Hillary supporters would vote for McCain. Obama's candidacy has been artificially blown out of all proportion. Does he really believe that he stands a chance to win the General Election? Everyone I know would vote Republican this time if Hillary is not going to be the nominee...
Obamatics forget that the majority of the US are not lefties. Bill Clinton knew this very well. That's why he was able to build a centrist oriented coalition & won both elections.
Also, it was in Obama鈥檚 interest for Florida & Michigan not to rerun their primaries. Do not forget the majority of the voters in both of these states voted for Hillary. That鈥檚 why lefties are not interested in finding a solution. He knew full well he would lose both of them. So, how he is going to win without Florida & Michigan?
    What a sad joke!!!
