What nickname would you give your team?
After Cameroon proved to be anything but Indomitable Lions when they became the first team to exit the 2010 World Cup, perhaps it is time they had a new nickname - and indeed a number of you .
So we thought it would be interesting to hear your African-style nickname for your national side.
You probably know the famous ones - Nigeria's Super Eagles, Ghana's Black Stars, Ivory Coast's Elephants and the World Cup hosts, Bafana Bafana (meaning "the boys the boys").
My favourite of all the existing ones is the gloriously euphonious Chipolopolo - the Copper Bullets of Zambia.
But we'd very much like to hear your suggestions for nicknames for your team, and we'll read the best ones on air during the tournament.
Of course we know that France are Les Bleus, Italy are the Azzurri etc - but those are frankly dull. African-style ones are much more imaginative - and, as the different stories of the World Cup have played out, it would be wonderful to hear your new takes.
Come the end, it would be nice to have suggested names for all 32 teams - so put your minds to work...
