Do age differences in marriage affect how long you live?

My mum always told me to marry an slightly older man - "they're more mature" she'd say. I didn't. I married a man my age and apparently that's been a wise move - I'll live longer.
That's the line from that finds that having an or younger husband can reduce a woman's life expectancy. For men however, a younger woman means a longer life.
