BERLIN - It may not be up there with Neil Armstrong landing on the moon or being asked where you were when JFK was shot but we can proudly announce the newest arrival to the Match Of The Day stable – the first World Cup Daily is online and ready to view!
This is the %3Ca%20href="%3Ca%20href="#" onClick="javascript: void window.open('/mediaselector/check/sol/ukfs_sport/hi/av?redirect=fs.stm&nbram=1&bbram=1&nbwm=1&bbwm=1&news=1&nol_storyid=5061100','console','toolbar=0,location=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=0,resizable=0,width=681,height=487');return false;">worldwide version and if you're in the UK you can watch an extended version with match action %3Ca%20href="https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/video_archive/default.stm">on the top right of this index.
The first episode contains contributions from Gary Lineker and Ray Stubbs as well as a look at a rehearsal from the gallery and some memories of the 2002 World Cup. If you’re planning to be in Berlin and want to be part of the Gate Expectations (watch the Daily for details!) then leave a comment below and I’ll do my best to film you.
I’m also hoping to get some time with the presenters and pundits as the weeks roll on so check back in as I’ll give you guys plenty of notice to get your questions in. A selection of the answers will appear on the World Cup Daily and I’ll make sure that you get name checked in the process.

Thankfully not all Americans are as clueless as those two interviewed in that episode of the World Cup Daily.
I wrote an interesting article about the great divide in America for %3Ca%20href="https://www.EPLTalk.com/text/newsletter.asp" rel="nofollow">EPL Talk Magazine. The piece analyzes the two extremes in America: those die-hard football fans, and the mainstream who are totally clueless.
Cheers,
The Gaffer

Hi Glen,
I and a group of my friends will be watching the England V T&T game in Berlin on Thursday - any hints and tips that we should be aware of?
Have heard about the "Adidas Arena" the 10,000 seater replica stadium - is it worth trying to get tickets for that or do you reckon it will be better watching the game on the big screen in front of the Brandenberg Gate?

On that World Cup Daily, how difficult was it to find two people so utterly detached from the world’s biggest event?
Being here in America at the moment I can say that there’s very little hype around. The football's competing with the NBA finals and the baseball season.
I’m hoping that the U.S. team does well in Germany to stoke some hysteria here and not allow a nation to go about with its fingers in its ears going laaa laaaaaaa laaaaaa laaaaa for the next four weeks.
