It's becoming difficult to keep a tally on all the jobs going in the region what with confirmed losses and all the firms in discussions with staff about 'savings' and possible redundancies.

, Deeside industrial estate, is set to close with the loss of 70 jobs.

is considering closing its branch on Bromfield Industrial Estate, Mold, which makes personal ID cards, and 31 workers are at risk of being made redundant.

Meanwhile, 13 workers have been made redundant at Discover Leisure, Wrexham's Industrial Estate, which is one of seven branches being closed by the caravan and leisure retailer.

These latest announcements take the losses in NE Wales to 1942 since the credit crunch began.

What's wrong with the Caia Park book?

Further to the post, Rebranding Rhyl, things don't appear to have turned out so well on Caia Park.

Work to share a feel good factor with people living on the Wrexham housing estate - with an old image it's still trying to shake off [like Rhyl] - seems to have backfired.

In short, a book was published and delivered to housholders on the estate for free in a "celebration of Caia Park, a record of Caia in 2009 and a monument to Caia people".

However, people are apparently handing back their free copy, according to the bloggers at .
