In response to the post [] from blogger regarding the size of Queen Victoria's bloomers, we thought it would be helpful to point him in the direction of a film [Summer on the pond] made by website contributor, Joan Tapper, who mentions - and models - girls' underwear in the 1920s:
"...I'm wearing there navy blue knickers which you could get twice into them really! We used to tuck our dresses inside and they were used like a type of bathing costume."
