NE Wales was hit with another jobs blow today after construction giant David McLean announced it was axing 30 jobs.

Ofcom, the communications regulator, anticipates the cost of ITV's public service broadcasting in Wales will be greater than the commercial station's economic benefits as early as 2009. We already rely on the 91Èȱ¬ for Wales-wide coverage on radio. If ITV withdraws completely from public service broadcasting for Wales are we going to be reliant on only the 91Èȱ¬ for national radio and television services as well?

The mother of a seriously ill baby has backed a new campaign which aims to bring fresh hope to people in need of organ donation. campaign, which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, was launched last week and aims to encourage people to join the organ donor register and give youngsters like 14-month-old baby Brooklyn from Wrexham a fighting chance of long healthy life.
