Wow, so according to , homegrown Michael Owen has become football's richest player, amassing a fortune of £41m.
Not bad when you think he started out as an apprentice on £42.50 a week. From the profiles I've read and seen on Michael, he seems to be a businessman as well as a footballer and a brand, and is already working on his next career as a horse trainer.
