Love Story

Victoria Derbyshire | 14:20 UK time, Monday, 27 April 2009

They met in a children's home in Sunderland in 1959 when he was 7 and she was 9. After a year he was sent to another orphanage just because they were inseparable. Alan and Irene then spent the next 45 years looking for each other.

It's a delightfully romantic story and they told me all about it this morning. You can listen below.
