Steve Herrmann, the Editor of the 91Èȱ¬ News website, has blogged about the imminent relaunch of that site.

We think users of the Sport site will be interested in his blog, because a lot of you also use our News site, and also because we are starting work on our plans to relaunch the Sport site.

It won't be exactly like the new News site, but the post does offer some insight into the direction we are heading in, as far as some aspects and features of the website go.
