I'm the 91Èȱ¬'s media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

The 91Èȱ¬ says it will work harder to achieve an authentic portrayal of lesbian, gay and bi-sexual people across its programmes. The commitment follows research by the Corporation which shows it's made progress but could do more to reflect the diversity of the group.

The the 91Èȱ¬'s landmark study revealed a split in attitudes towards scenes of gay, lesbian and bisexual relationships. It showed that while 49% were comfortable with gay scenes, another 18% were not happy with them.

The 91Èȱ¬ reports Radio 1 Controller Andy Parfitt said he'd not reprimanded DJ Chris Moyles for an on-air rant about his pay: "For me, it was a question of deciding whether he had overstepped the red lines or not. In my judgement, he hadn't."

The Andy Parfitt also said Radio One was working on the launch of a monthly "Panorama for young people" to expand its news and current affairs coverage. He was talking to the Broadcasting Press Guild.
