This week's podcast delves into the twilight world of . No, not knitting for those who are yet to come out of the handicraft closet, but a novel idea from Germany whereby you knit following instructions without knowing exactly what you're creating until it's done. Something to bear in mind should you find yourself at a loose end this Christmas...

My husband had a willy warmer back in the 70s. He only wore it once and it brought him out in a rash!

regarding the comments of the artist who is believes the death penalty is 'wrong, no matter what the crime,' would she feel the same way if her daughter were raped, sodomised and murdered and thrown in a ditch? what about the families of the victims of these prisoners on death row? what about the last moments of the victioms, terrified beyond belief, dying with no loved ones around to ' give them a loving look.' oh please, this world is full of evil beings and we don't need pseudo artist types who are so desperate for a new thrill that they take up the cause of violent criminals who do not deserve anything less than what they dished out to their victims.

Thank you so much to Rob the Rubbish (hope I got your name right). You have inspired me to do what I have long wanted to do - pick up the rubbish in my own community - and without the anger that is so often the accompanying emotion. I volunteer with The Youth Development Team in Hastings, East Sussex and I am going to see if I can get them involved too. Thank you to your inspirational calm spirit and for caring about our beautiful world.
    All the best

I think they should leave 'Thought for the Day' alone. There are very few opportunities to hear comments from a spiritual point of view.
People with secular or even anti-faith views get a lot of air time on both TV and Radio.
There is such an aggressive attack on all things faith-based, this slot is a great inspiration to many. Ann McCart
